You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

James 5:8 (ESV)

There is a good chance you are not a patient person by nature. Or better yet, you are patient, but the chaos of life under the curse pushes on you so hard that you become anxious.

There is good news for you in the word of God. It is ok to wait. It is ok to be patient. It is not only “ok”, but it is wise. Let the purposes of God play out and wait to see the outcome. People who learn to wait on the Lord are more joyful. They stop trying to bend the world to their will and truly cling to the hope that the will of God would be done on earth as it is in heaven.

This is more promise than chastisement. Waiting to see what God is going to do is hard, but we know with certainty that seeking refuge and help from the Lord by prayer Is much more beneficial than worrying about what tomorrow brings.
