The Lord is quite amazing. Everyone in the Church knows that, but it is too easy to forget this truth in a world filled with sin. We are tempted to become discontent, confused, and maybe even angry when events in this life go contrary to what we expected or hoped to find. This is especially true when tragic events occur such as the one in Aurora, CO last week. In all of this we must remember that the Lord loves us and is caring for us.
Tragedies like that make the struggles of church planting seem trivial yet daunting. Trivial because the struggles are nothing near what the families of tragedy experience. Daunting because we are reminded of the great task that lies before us as we seek to spread the hope, peace, and joy that can only be found in Christ in a world filled with sin.
Church planting has moments of great encouragement, but we are quickly reminded that we are not in control of anything. As for Christ Community Church in Springville, we have had great blessings lately. The Lord has allowed us to enjoy fellowship with each other and our times of worship have been encouraging. We are thankful for what the Lord has begun, and look forward to what He will do through us in the coming months. If you are looking for a church family, we would love to have you join us for worship @ 10 am on Sunday morning. Come join us as we rejoice in the hope of Christ together!
